7 Free Software Resources

Today I’m sharing with you 7 free software resources to help you build your online business (these are just 7 of the 112 resources in my FREE “Million Dollar Resource Report” available here: http://www.theterrydean.com).

OpenOffice – Free Office Suite
http://www.openoffice.org

This is similar to Microsoft Office, and it’s 100% free. It contains a word processor, database program, spreadsheet, presentation program, and drawing software.

This is hot stuff. It not only works brilliantly as an office suite, it handles the creation of PDFs better than anything else. And yes, it handles MS Office file formats. Save yourself a good $300 by picking up this Free solution.

PrimoPDF PDF creation tool
http://www.primopdf.com

Print to PDF from any application. Makes creating your digital files very easy and it’s Free.

Gimp – Powerful Graphic Design Program
http://www.gimp.org

Edit graphics, photos, and more for Free. This is another free source program that often beats the paid solutions available. For free materials on how to use the program, go to:

Audacity – Audio recording and editing
http://audacity.sourceforge.net

This is powerful free open source software for recording, editing, and converting digital audio. I’ve now used this program for 2 years. I love it and recommend it to everyone.

CamStudio – Free Screen Recorder
http://www.swftools.com/tools-details.php?tool=8162413051

Record audio and video from your screen directly to flash. Perfect for making screen videos in AVI or flash format for tutorials. This is the tool of choice to demonstrate anything from your screen.

Nvu – WYSIWYG Web design software
http://nvu.com

Easy website design for Free. This is a program similar to Frontpage and Dreamweaver (I’ve used Dreamweaver personally for years and am very accustomed to it although it has a much more difficult learning curve). Create an attractive, professional-looking web site without needing to know HTML or web coding.

Help Desk Solutions
http://www.troubleticketexpress.com

Set-up your own help desk using free open source software. Get rid of email because it’s so unreliable.

Some great resources there, I’ll recommend to others. I’m in love with DreamWeaver, too, so I doubt I’ll switch.

A note about PrimoPDF: I discovered that Mac users couldn’t read the PDF it created. There’s a site that offers free conversion (of almost any file format to any file format, music, video, docs): youconverit.com. I’m no affiliation with them, just thought you might want to add it to your arsenal.

I am excited to look into PrimoPDF and Gimp. I can already think how I would utilize those programs in my business.
You are the man Terry! And as always, thank you for the valuable information you give us on your blog. Keep it crankin!

Yes, the resources are very good. I myself use Open Office. In Open Office, you can convert your file to PDF format. So there is no need to use PrimoPDF. GIMP is a nice photo editing software. I use it often.

I only know that OpenOffice and GIMP are very useful for internet marketing. And the whole list has added to my knowledge a lot. Thank you very much!
