The absolute first step is to spend some time going through my blog here (we have a lot of archives on the right side of the page to go through). This is free and will get you some of the basics (there is a lot of bad information online).

The next step is I’d go with a low cost product such as http://www.lowcostcoaching.com/beginner to get your feet wet and really understand what it takes to build a successful business (that person is from the UK also).

okay so I’m getting pitched every day, to buy this wonder course etc. we have all been there. I live in England. I write this as a way of stating I have real motivation, and honestly to `just get it said’ so as to speak. Every thing is really scary at the moment. Been wanting to get going and have retreated into `fantasy comfortland’ too many times, dabbled a few times – made no serious money. Although I am an OK electrician, I really wouldn’t mind if I did not mend another electrical thing. I want to create a business that will provide an income so that I can buy my own permanent base, and concentrate on freeing my time to pursue my studies and growth as a healer and spiritual person. Oh, and due to recent collapsing personal (marriage) issues, money is really tight. So I want to know in steps that I can follow, and do part-time . What is my first step now please?

I agree with you that blogging is a tool and not a business in itself.

I have used some of the ideas and they worked for me. Will be looking for one to add to my line of businesses.

Thanks for the blog post Terry. I also think you should find something you are comfortable with and stick to it until you master it and are making good money, then go on to try another money making vehicle.
As you posted, there are many ways to make money, it’s amazing.

Terry – thanks for the reminder of the many possibilities to make money. All possible if you just jump in and start taking action.

One other point that is important is to try one of these ideas at a time and don’t try to run after them all at once. Become successful at one way and then try out another.
