Thanks Terry for a great video. It was very informative. I too have done most of my mind mapping offline, but I will definitely check out iMindmap.com

Kyle: I agree on the mind maps. Up till now though I had been doing them off the computer because I didn't like most of the software for them online.

Eric: The mind map was made in iMindmap from iMindmap.com. I've tried a lot of different mind mapping programs and that is the best one in my opinion. It has a trial so you can try it out.

The screen capture of the mindmap was done in Camtasia Studio 6. You shoot the screen. Then you go back during the editing and can zoom in anywhere you want. AS a note, the reason there are black lines at the top and bottom of the video is because this video was recorded and sized for DVD distribution (and the resolution is a little different).

Also I'm curious to know what software you are using for the screen capture that allows you to drag the focus around the screen like that.

Great post. Thank you! Lots of good ideas.

Do you mind if I ask what software you are using to make that mind map?

Nice video Terry. I'm a big fan of mind maps -- got most of my business processes, models, and idea generators in mind map form.

Taking a systematic approach to being "creative" and coming up with ideas is, without any exaggeration, a BILLION times more productive than staring at a blank page.
