Just to add to what Joe and Jeremiah were saying about voice recognition software, I too find it really speeds up the content creation process. If you're using a Mac, you can get the new "Dictate" software which runs on the Dragon Naturally Speaking voice recognition platform just like that Windows uses.

I posted a video demonstrating how this voice recognition software works here:

You have given a good suggestion for writing articles. It will be easy if you prepare a sketch of what you going to write. Write the points and think about the questions and solutions one would want about the subject matter from a customer's point of view. This is will help you to write great articles.

Thanks Terry - another great post.

I greatly appreciate your recommendations free of any commercial interest.

I just want to second Jeremiah's recommendation about using voice recognition software.

I tried it a few years ago and wasn't very impressed. However I've been using the latest version of Dragon Naturally Speaking for the last few months. The product has come a long ways and I'm very favorably impressed (in fact, I'm using it now). I've found it to be a great time-saver.

Thanks again

Hi Terry,

For a while I resisted using Mind Mapping software, but recently I had an important presentation to make and used MindManager 8 from MindJet. It's a bit pricey in the same range as Camtasia Studio, but I have to say it was the best one of all the Mind Mapping solutions I evaluated.

Oops... I meant make sure your camcorder will let you stream videos with a direct connection between your camcorder and your computer.

Just to add to Terry's resources:

Many JVC's and Panasonic camcorders (like the JVC Everio series which I have) store video files in .MODs which is an honest pain in the you know what.

Before you invest in a full Camcorder for online video and stuff, make sure it will allow you the capability to stream video to the web with a direct connection on your website (good for use with websites like ustream.com and livestream.com) and that it stores files in a less restrictive format than .MOD (mp4, avi, etc).

As far as alternatives to google reader, you can try:
Bloglines - bloglines.com
Feed Demon - http://www.newsgator.com/individuals/feeddemon/default.aspx

Or just google "Feed reader" or "Feed aggregator" and research other options.

The Kodak Zi8 has audio input so FINALLY somebody addressed that problem. Here's my contribution for fellow Mac owners...for what it's worth:

Online mindmapping isn't a bad way to go either - http://bubbl.us/ is easy, easy.

Skype recording - Call Recorder for Skype by ECamm (records audio and/or video)

Must echo the sentiments for ScreenFlow as the screen capture program of choice for Mac.

Video editing - iMovie 09

Audio recording - too many to choose from, but WireTap Studio is easy, cheap and works like a champ for input audio recording or capturing computer audio.
