The very site that I developed and own was through your teachings, “Blogging for Fun And Profit”. I wonder what happens when you see a profitable market and yet you’re not passionate about it? Perhaps the other parts on your series will deal with this issue.

Hi Zama,

One of the ways to run a business you're not as passionate about is to have other writers, do interviews, etc. to get the content for the site from others. And my opinion is there are LOTS of profitable markets - and you can be successful in them without any passion. But I personally wouldn't want to choose a market even if it had more money if I wasn't going to enjoy it. That's why I call it an intersection of passion and profits - find one that combines both.

Terry, you've done it again! Simplicity in teaching what one is supposed to do in starting a business. The very site that I developed and own was through your teachings, "Blogging for Fun And Profit". I wonder what happens when you see a profitable market and yet you're not passionate about it? Perhaps the other parts on your series will deal with this issue.

Agree that passion is important. In whatever venture we undertake, a lot of times it is the passion that makes us hang on when the going gets tough. In all businesses, there are bound to be hard times, especially when you are just starting up. I think this is where passion will help people ride out the hard times in order to be able to enjoy success later on.
