Why Some Succeed Where Others Fail

Why do some succeed where others fail? What about when it takes place in the exact same market? They both start a blog. They both send out emails. They both do search engine optimization and PPC. They both invest hours working on their business. They both follow that motto everyone pitches so heavily, “Just Take Action.”

Yet one makes money while the other just spins their wheels. Why? Here is a short video where I talk about the difference and the importance of content which is uniquely yours.

I am assuming that not only uniqueness is important but also achieving a certain level of quality or value in the content itself – not that it would have to be a masterpiece.

    Hi Shawn:

Definitely. It needs to definitely be above “average” content quality. Although not perfect by any means. You’re not going to find most of the top businesses hiring non-English speakers to write their content (like people do try to do at times). And you’re going to find you disapprove some of the work by some outsourcers.

AND don’t forget this not an “end-all” video. I could add many other items as well such as building your sales skills, driving traffic, etc. This is one element involved in the overall system (if you can sell, you won’t make money).

    Hi Terry,

After watching your Video. I am in my right path to success. One more point i want to mention is we like to watch videos of anyone which will help us bring more confidence than writing.

    Thanks,

    Hi Terry
That was a good video, when I look at a lot of affiliate sites they are all ‘samey’ so you are right on the button in expressing ‘personality’.
The problem to me seems to be of ‘being seen’ – and ‘getting it out there’.
Unique content is good, but no use if nobody ‘sees it’.
We’re not all ‘technically capable’ of producing a video and getting it up there!
Appreciate your lessons (video or email)
    regards

That’s a good video. Most people wanting to become seen, popular, famous or rich on the internet, must start planning long before purchasing their domain name. Original, unique content is nice, but that’s for those spinning their wheels.

To be noticed, to be popular, to make money, the blogger has to target their niche with , “Con Marketing Techniques” or you will get absolutely nowhere on the internet.

There are three stages to the con techniques:

    1. Setting up the con
    2. Expertise
    3. Distribution

The commercial WordPress theme developer world, is a prime example of why some are making it and others aren’t.

The successful developers have “set up the con” (Part 1), developed excellent products and services (Part 2). Part 3 is distribution, which they are lobbying WordPress.org for right now. Looks like they’ll get what they want – “Distribution).

Once they are successful with their lobby efforts, the success circle will be complete and they will make more money and be more successful on the internet, than anyone can imagine.

Although good, unique content sounds like it should work, it’s really the initial con setup that determines how popular a blogger or business will become.

    Terry,

It is also amazing to see 2 people sell products online and they do the exact same thing but one makes money and the other struggles.

Great to see you on video. You should do more of them since that can get your lots of free traffic from YouTube. Once it gets on page one for different keywords, again lots of free traffic.

Thanks man. You are an inspiration.

    Tal

I agree with your thoughts. Blog contents make the difference between the success of two bloggers. Well, I believe that your contents will come naturally once you really like the niche of your blog. However, not all people have this point of view. They are still after a niche earning one.

Great video. Yes, content is everything, but I also feel that we must persevere at what we do and enjoy it. As a great friend once said to me, enjoy what you do and you’ll be good at it.. if you’re good at it then you will make money.

Too many people want the success overnight, I have been workinhard on the internet for what seems like an eternity, but each day I learn something new, my sites and blogs improve, I find myself creating better content. It will come in time if you are prepared to work at it and ride out the hard times.

    Terry,

Wanted to add one more small thing. Even if the 2 are doing the EXACT same thing but one of them doesn’t believe in their ability to succeed, they won’t.

A big part is to BELIEVE you can succeed and you will. A lot of people, when they start some sort of an online business, don’t really believe that they will succeed from the start and that just attracts failure. That is the LAW of this universe. Think success and win success. This FAILURE and receive failure.

I also agree with Chris. A lot of people want overnight success and when that does not happen, they quit very fast. I had one guy sign up to one of the programs that I am in. He had some difficulties with his own website. After ONE day, he quit. Isn’t that amazing??

Terry, the volume was so low, I couldn’t hear much of it. I had both the video volume and my computer volume up to the highest spot.

    Patrice,

Terry is a very good mentor. He has somewhat influenced me in my internet business since listening to an audio he did with Frank Garon a few years back. The audio is called “Network Marketing in the Internet Age”. I am not sure if they still sell it but it is very good. Frank and Terry did a great job.

Any products that Terry sells, you can believe that he will deliever in a big way.

    Clara Mae Watrous,

The audio is perfectly FINE. Maybe you should adjust your audio on your PC.

Listening to this video I’m reminded about a question that John Reese Students have asked him over and over…

“What’s the #1 skill I need for making money online?”
    Is it TRAFFIC?
    Nope.
    Is it BUILDING A LIST?
    Nope.
    Is it AFFILIATE MARKETING?
    Nope.

    Then What Is It???
It’s something that most people overlook…

WRITING. Being able to use words that get people excited and inspired to go and BUY something that you are selling or promoting as an affiliate.

This is how you make money with an email list, or with AdWords ads, or with landing pages, or with ANYTHING you want to do in this business.

If you don’t know how to do some simple writing that gets people to click, buy, and take action you will never make as much as you should be in this business.

And this is a proven fact.

And so I’m reminded: Create unique Content with my own personality.

Thank You Terry – this video was a good example of unique content.

    Patrick
